Yanchware
2020
An identity for a cloud software house
Yanchware is an independent software house specialising in cloud computing and IT security, with products, training and 24/7 operations support for enterprise engineering teams. I created its new identity, from the monogram and typography to colour and imagery, and designed the company website.

Overview
Platform engineering, from Sicily to Denmark
Yanchware was founded in 2020, with roots that run from Sicily to Aarhus University in Denmark, where its founder's work in cryptography and security began. The company set out to export the Danish way of running businesses, and describes itself as independent and opinionated.
Its work sits in three places
The Mission
Modern, simple, and easy to recognise
The challenge was to build a brand-new identity that feels modern and simple, stands out in the cloud industry, and is easy to recognise among peers, while reflecting Yanchware's simple yet effective way of working. The same system then had to carry a website that explains a technical offer to engineering leaders without drowning them in jargon.
The Logo
A monogram made of four shapes
The logo is a monogram of the letters Y and W, built from just two circles and two rounded bars. Using so few, simple shapes makes the mark easy to remember and keeps it legible at any size, from a browser tab to a billboard.

Applications
The brand in use
A logo alone doesn't make a brand recognisable. So the shapes it's built from were treated as a kit of parts, free to be enlarged, repeated or cropped, which gives campaign work a family resemblance even when the logo is small or absent. The rule is simple: the shapes can carry the message, the colour keeps everything together, and people stay at the centre of the picture.

Website
Your platform, your control
The homepage opens on a deep blue hero with the promise "Your platform, your control", then explains what Yanchware gives development teams, companies and communities: governance without extra complexity, control without home-made platforms, and business value without reinventing the wheel.

Outcome
One recognisable identity, everywhere
Yanchware now has a simple, consistent identity that works from a favicon to a billboard, and a four-page website that turns a technical offer into a clear path to a conversation.
